Roman Yorkshire

• It's not thought that there was a Roman settlement where the centre of Leeds is now. Ilkley, Castleford and Tadcaster were Roman settlements.
• Archaeological finds have also been made at Adel. See map 203.1 (1908) for location of Roman camp, Roman road and location of remains found.
