Woodhouse Cemetery (aka Leeds General Cemetery)

  • Was privately owned by company formed in 1833. Opened 23 July 1835. Ownership transferred to University on 22 June 1965 and officially closed in 1966.
  • Index to burials held in L&FH, entitled Record of Those Buried in Woodhouse Cemetery (big black book kept near Beckett St. indexes and monumental inscriptions, LQ 929.3). This list is complete; if names are mentioned, you will need to visit University.
